About the Engagement
COMPEAR Global Education Network, in partnership with GoAbroad.com, is seeking a part-time Global Programs Project Coordinator to support the planning and execution of the Global Respectful Disruption Summit Series. This is a remote, independent contractor role designed for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in a mission-driven environment. The Coordinator plays a key operational role in ensuring global virtual programs and summits are well-coordinated, accessible, and executed smoothly. This role also includes light marketing coordination and execution, supporting communications and outreach efforts that are already planned and guided by COMPEAR leadership. This role is best suited for someone seeking flexible, part-time, mission-driven work with a hands-on operational focus.
Commitment Note: This engagement requires a minimum commitment of six (6) months to ensure continuity across planning, live programming, and post-program wrap-up.
Contract Structure & Time Commitment

Work hours are flexible outside of required meetings, rehearsals, and live event days.
Time Zone Preference:
Availability aligned with U.S. Eastern Time (ET) is strongly preferred, particularly for planning meetings, rehearsals, and live program support.
Compensation
$20–25 per hour, based on experience
Milestone-based payments, issued upon completion of:
Pre-program deliverables
Live program execution
Post-program wrap-up
Performance-based bonuses available for supporting and exceeding paid registration goals

Scope of Work
Pre-Program (Planning & Setup)
Coordinate program logistics and timelines across planning subcommittees
Support marketing execution by updating event listings, registration pages, and email copy based on existing plans and timelines
Coordinate with Marketing or Communications leads to schedule and post approved content (email, social media, website updates)
Track basic outreach metrics (registrations, deadlines, link accuracy) and flag gaps or issues
Manage attendee registration, including grant applications, registration settings, and session visibility
Create and maintain Eventbrite pages and registration materials with accessibility and inclusive design in mind
Support basic design needs using Canva, including updating templates and creating simple marketing or information cards (advanced design not required)
Respond to and resolve registration-related inquiries
Develop and distribute detailed run-of-show schedules, including Zoom room assignments
Coordinate tech tools for presenters, volunteers, and staff (intro slides, playlists, breakout rooms)
Recruit, onboard, and coordinate tech volunteers and Zoom moderators
Coordinate sponsor communications and track sponsor ticket usage
Schedule and manage tech rehearsals for presenters and volunteers
During Live Programs
Be available 8:00 AM – 6:00 PM ET on live program days
Serve as a tech lead for assigned sessions, including welcoming participants, acknowledging sponsors, and introducing presenters
Support coordination and communication related to virtual viewing hubs, including sharing run-of-show information and troubleshooting basic access or timing questions in collaboration with hub leads.
Support real-time execution of the run-of-show and flag timing or technical issues as they arise
Maintain clear, calm, and responsive communication with presenters, volunteers, and staff
Assist with troubleshooting technical or logistical issues during live sessions
Post-Program
Support post-event communications (thank-you and follow-up emails)
Coordinate session recordings, transcription, and video edits for post-event access
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience. Candidates with strong, relevant experience gained through nontraditional pathways are encouraged to apply.
At least 1 year of experience working with Zoom or similar virtual platforms
Strong written and verbal communication skills, especially in fast-paced or time-sensitive virtual environments
Comfort supporting basic marketing execution and coordination (e.g., updating copy editing, scheduling posts, tracking registrations), without expectation of owning marketing strategy
Working knowledge of universal design and accessible programming, particularly for virtual or educational settings
Exceptional attention to detail, especially when editing, copying, reviewing, and publishing documents
Demonstrated ability to identify, track, and correct errors before materials go live
Experience using a clear review or quality-control process (e.g., checklists, version control, cross-checking details)
Basic working knowledge of Canva, with comfort updating templates and creating simple visual assets
Strong organizational and time-management skills
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines without close supervision
Reliable access to high-speed internet and ability to work remotely
Availability aligned with U.S. Eastern Time (ET) during required meetings and live programs
