Thank you for your interest in The Compear Consulting Collective, an initiative powered by Compear Global Education Network LLC. By joining our collective, you are entering into a mutual agreement to uphold our shared values and guidelines, ensuring a collaborative environment that is both productive and respectful. This document sets forth the terms and conditions governing your membership.

Streamlined Membership Options for Compear Consulting Collective

1. Root Membership (Free)

  • Benefits:

    • Access to foundational educational resources and the Compear newsletter.

    • Participation in public webinars and community dialogues.

    • Basic access to the network without a profile feature on the website.

  • Features:

    • Ideal for new entrants and those exploring Compear’s mission and offerings without financial commitment.

    • Engages members in discussions on social justice and educational innovation at an entry level.

2. Canopy Membership ($99.00/year)

  • Benefits:

    • All benefits of the Root Membership.

    • A professional profile on Compear’s website, enhancing visibility and connectivity within the Partner Network.

    • Access to all specialized workshops, seminars, and leadership roundtables aimed at skill development and innovation.

    • Personalized one-on-one mentoring sessions with senior leaders, including Christina Thompson.

    • Priority invitations and complimentary access to all Compear events, including the Global Respectful Disruption Summit.

    • Full membership fee 50% off for the first year if membership is initiated by December 1, 2024.

  • Features:

    • Comprehensive access to collaborative project opportunities and exclusive leadership roles within the collective.

    • Premier support in contract management and transparent rate structures to ensure a smooth consulting experience.

    • Designed for both emerging professionals aiming to expand their impact and seasoned experts ready to lead and influence within their fields.

  • Future Fee Commitment: By joining, you acknowledge and agree to a potential future membership fee arrangement.

2. Ethical Business Conduct: Members of the Compear Collective are expected to uphold the highest standards of professional conduct. Misusing this platform to acquire business leads or divert opportunities for personal gain unduly is strictly prohibited.

3. Working Together: The essence of the Compear Collective lies in our shared vision of working together, learning from each other, and building collectively towards innovative solutions. Active participation is vital to the collective's growth and success.

Active Participation: Members are encouraged to actively participate, share knowledge, and contribute to the collective's success. This includes attending meetings, engaging in discussions, and collaborating on projects.

Inactive Members: Members who remain inactive for a period exceeding six months will be subject to a review by the collective's advisory board. Inactivity is defined as a lack of participation in meetings, discussions, and collaborative projects. Following the review, recommendations may include:

  • Re-engagement: Offering resources or support to help the member become more active and engaged.

  • Temporary Hiatus: Granting a temporary leave of absence, allowing the member to address personal or professional challenges that may be hindering their participation.

  • Membership Status Review: If inactivity persists or if the member is unresponsive to re-engagement efforts, the collective may consider revising the member's status, up to and including termination of membership. Any such decision will be made with fairness, transparency, and in the best interests of both the member and the collective.

Members are encouraged to communicate any challenges or barriers they face in maintaining active participation, so the collective can provide support and understanding.

4. Dispute Resolution: In the event of any disputes among members or between members and the collective, an inclusive approach, diverging from traditional Western methods, will be employed to address and resolve the issues.

Advisory Board Involvement: The advisory board will play an integral role in facilitating the resolution process. They will provide guidance, support, and, if necessary, recommend external resources or experts to assist in the resolution.

Resolution Process: Disputes should ideally be resolved through dialogue and understanding within the collective. If needed, a mutually agreed-upon mediator, who aligns with our inclusive values, can be engaged to assist in the process.

Members are encouraged to approach disputes with an open mind, valuing the diverse perspectives and experiences within the collective, and working collaboratively towards a resolution that respects and benefits all parties involved.

5. Confidentiality & Privacy:

1. Member Confidentiality: All internal discussions and communications within the collective are confidential. Members must not disclose or use this information outside the collective without explicit consent.

2. Client Confidentiality: Information related to client projects must be treated with utmost confidentiality. Unauthorized disclosure, reproduction, or use of client information is strictly prohibited.

3. Sensitive Information: Members must securely handle and store all sensitive or proprietary client information exclusively within the designated area provided by Compear, ensuring its confidentiality and protection from unauthorized access.

4. Breach Reporting: Any potential or actual breach of confidentiality must be promptly reported to the collective's administrative body. Breaches may result in disciplinary action, including potential termination of membership, and may also lead to legal action.

5. Client Protection: The collective employs measures, including potential non-disclosure agreements, to safeguard client information and work. Members are expected to adhere to these measures and best practices.

6. Policy Adherence: Members acknowledge their understanding of and commitment to this confidentiality policy. Violations may lead to disciplinary actions and potential legal consequences.

6. Intellectual Property: Compear Global Education Network LLC recognizes the paramount importance of intellectual property. This policy is established to ensure that all intellectual property rights and interests arising from our engagements are unequivocally vested in Compear Global Education Network LLC.

  1. Ownership of IP: All work products, solutions, methodologies, tools, or processes developed, utilized, or delivered during the course of consultancy services provided by or on behalf of Compear Global Education Network LLC shall remain the sole and exclusive property of Compear Global Education Network LLC, unless otherwise explicitly agreed upon in writing.

2. Licensing to Clients: Clients may be granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the deliverables provided by Compear Global Education Network LLC for the specific purpose for which they were engaged. This license is granted under the understanding that it does not transfer any ownership rights or interests to the client. Any use or distribution of the deliverables beyond the agreed-upon terms is strictly prohibited.

3. Protection of Proprietary Methods: Compear Global Education Network LLC retains all rights to any proprietary methodologies, tools, or processes used during the delivery of its services. While clients may benefit from the outcomes produced by these methodologies, the underlying methods and processes remain the exclusive intellectual property of Compear Global Education Network LLC.

4. IP Dispute Resolution: Should any disputes arise concerning IP rights or potential infringements, parties are encouraged to seek resolution through dialogue. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, Compear Global Education Network LLC reserves the right to take appropriate legal action to defend and protect its intellectual property rights.

5. Collaborations with External Entities: In engagements involving third-party entities, Compear Global Education Network LLC will ensure that its IP rights are clearly delineated and safeguarded. Any co-creation or sharing of IP will be subject to explicit written agreements that prioritize the protection of Compear Global Education Network LLC's interests.

6. Documentation and Record-Keeping: All agreements, licenses, and understandings related to IP will be documented in writing and stored securely. These records serve as the definitive reference for clarifying rights and will be referenced in any future disputes or discussions regarding IP.

7. Liability: Compear Global Education Network LLC and its members shall operate under a defined liability framework, which seeks to limit potential legal exposures arising from consultancy projects.

1. Limitation of Liability: Except as expressly provided in this agreement or where prohibited by law, neither Compear Global Education Network LLC nor its members shall be liable for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental, or punitive damages, including lost profits, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

2. Mutual Understanding: All parties acknowledge and agree that they have a clear understanding of their respective responsibilities and potential liabilities. Each member agrees to act in a manner that minimizes potential legal risks to the collective and other members.

3. Indemnification: Members agree to indemnify and hold harmless Compear Global Education Network LLC and its other members from any claims, losses, damages, liabilities, including attorney’s fees, arising out of their breach of this agreement, or their negligent or wrongful conduct.

8. Membership:

1. Membership Activation: Your membership becomes active from the date of your formal acceptance and will remain in effect unless otherwise terminated as outlined below.

2. Termination by Member: Members may choose to terminate their membership by providing a written notice to the administrative body of Compear Global Education Network LLC. Termination becomes effective at the end of the current billing cycle, and members are obligated to fulfill any ongoing project commitments or financial obligations until that date.

3. Termination by Compear Global Education Network LLC: Compear Global Education Network LLC reserves the right to terminate a member's membership for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • Violation or breach of any terms set forth in this agreement.

  • Conduct that may harm the reputation or operations of Compear Global Education Network LLC.

  • Non-payment of dues, fees, or any other financial obligations to the collective.

In such cases, the member will be provided with a written notice detailing the reasons for termination. Where appropriate, the member may be given an opportunity to address and rectify the concerns before final termination.

4. Refund Policy:

  • Membership Fees: Membership fees are non-refundable under any circumstances.

5. Consequences of Termination: Upon termination, members will immediately lose access to all resources, tools, and platforms associated with Compear Global Education Network LLC. Any ongoing projects or commitments will be transitioned in accordance with the collective's established transition procedures. Members are expected to cooperate fully during this transition to ensure continuity and uphold the collective's reputation and commitments to clients.

9. Amendment: Changes to this agreement can be proposed and will be handled through a structured amendment process within the collective.
